By creating a Kindred account or using the app, you agree to these Terms of Service and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use Kindred.
You must be at least 18 years old and complete identity verification (including a government ID through Stripe Identity) to use Kindred. Accounts that cannot be verified, or that are found to belong to minors, will be removed.
You are responsible for the activity on your account, for keeping your device secure, and for the accuracy of the information you provide. One person, one account. Do not impersonate anyone or misrepresent your identity.
Kindred Member is an auto-renewable subscription sold through Apple's In-App Purchase at $34.99 per month. Payment is charged to your Apple ID at purchase and renews automatically each month unless you turn off auto-renew at least 24 hours before the period ends. Manage or cancel your subscription anytime in iOS Settings → your Apple ID → Subscriptions. Apple processes all payments; Kindred never receives your card details. Refunds are handled by Apple under its standard policies.
You agree not to harass, threaten, abuse, demean, or endanger other members; not to use Kindred for any illegal purpose; not to solicit, scam, or spam; and not to attempt to circumvent verification, recording consent, or the block and report tools. Violations may result in immediate, permanent account termination.
Kindred may record certain calls for matching and safety — only ever with both participants' explicit consent obtained at the start of that call. If either participant declines, the call does not proceed. How recordings are stored, used, retained, and deleted is described in our Privacy Policy.
Kindred introduces people and helps relationships grow, but we are not responsible for the conduct of any member, online or in person, and we do not conduct criminal background checks beyond identity verification. We do not guarantee matches, outcomes, or the behavior of anyone you meet. Use good judgment, especially before meeting anyone in real life.
Kindred is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose. We do not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Kindred and its team will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss arising from your use of the service or your interactions with other members. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim.
These terms are governed by the laws of the United States and the state in which Kindred is established, without regard to conflict-of-laws principles.
You may stop using Kindred and delete your account at any time from within the app. We may suspend or terminate your account for violation of these terms, for safety reasons, or as required by law.
We may update these terms. If a change is material, we'll notify you in-app and, where appropriate, by email before it takes effect. Continued use after a change means you accept the updated terms.
